Hi, my name is Eliza. 👋It is great to e-meet you.
It has been a 6 years since my last post (though this blog was never intended to be updated consistently).
In 2019 my best friend "sy" and I decided to start this blog together- at the time, we wanted it to be completely anonymous.
In 2025, I ,"es", to "essy", Eliza, have fully taken over the blog. Don't worry, "sy" and I are still great friends. While we live a few hours apart from each other, we still frequently meet up to hang out and go on trips (a couple coming up later this year). I will still keep his name as "sy" as he values his anonymity.
My values on anonymity have changed a bit. While you won't find me posting selfies, I want to be a bit more open about who I am. A bit of this is self serving as my career in tech/ tech related fields is being establish; I want to give people a platform to know who I am outside of my professional work.
This is who I am:
I love to create accessible and scalable solutions- and to experience.
To experience is was the inspiration for this blog, or what I understood as "leisure" in 2019; It is still true, I love to hammock, go walks to nowhere, to witness, to be idle with no plans...
As I have grown, my definition how I understand leisure has morphed and changed a bit. These days most of free time is spent learning new software, programming language, or frameworks. A part of this is because I am currently transitioning my career into product design; a part of this is because I want to live a life of being able to create and problem solve; and a part of this is because I have found regardless of job- I think about design and experience for fun, because I find it interesting.
Of course the ability to transition a career and learn is a huge privilege, which I why I still think it relevant to the idea of leisure as both of the things require time, financial, material resources, and much, much more...
Anyways- I still intend to keep this blog as a playful and informal as I share noteworthy experience.
Till then,
-Eliza
